A helpful pneumonic from First Aid for the USMLE Step 1:

If you zap your Posterior hypothalamus, you become a Poikilotherm.

Great, thanks.
They add in parentheses that a poikilotherm is a cold-blood snake, i.e you lose your ability to temperature regulate. But pneumonics are supposed to make information easier to remember. They don't usually require me to also memorize technical Greek words for reptiles.

What does help is blogging about annoying pneumonics. I will always remember to treat Leprosy with Dapsone, Rifampin, and Clofazimine.
