Living in Center City has made me so lazy! I just walked over to CVS to pick up a prescription (stress is tearing my body to pieces, even though I'm put together mentally... for the time being) and the doctor hadn't called it in yet (damn doctors!). So now I'm groaning about having to walk all the way back to CVS tonight. CVS is one block down and two blocks over, and I take a short cut through a playground (I like to watch the babies... they have funny squeaky things in their shoes that make noise when they walk... I think their parents might think I'm a crazy person). It is certainly no more than a 10 minute walk, and after sitting in one chair for 8 hours it's probably all that's keeping me from a DVT. But still I'm making sure I call before I go this time. Just a few years ago I would travel an hour and 30 or 45 minutes into Manhattan to get to high school and later, to work. The 3 hour trek to Queens was often prohibitively far -- Mindy and I have never been to each other's houses back in NY; now we live fewer than 6 blocks apart and we're so lazy we meet in the middle!

Or maybe my energies are just misdirected. For example, I just mapped out that path through NYC but I can't get through this Respiratory Physiology chapter......
